Hi Kan, You're certainly right, a lot of the discussion groups are very inactive! I notice we're up to 27 members here, I'd say that's a pretty good start. Good job Kan! I think there is some reluctance to join discussion groups. Just as an example, I belong to an Ecco Pro discussion group - you may remember that is a PIM that was discontinued in 1997, but still has a die-hard following. There are 466 members in that group, and 207 messages were posted for the month of April, or about 7 a day on average. The flow of messages varies, but that is a pretty successful group. I think for software like this, people will have questions or ideas as they use the software, and the group could be successful even if we don't have too many members, or very frequent posts, so long as it is useful to the members. One thing for everyone to remember - the messages go into a searchable archive, so if you have a question, you can search the archives and maybe the question will already be answered in an earlier message! jim > Folks: > > While I am watching the mass emailing procedure firing an email > every 15 seconds or so (not to burden the smtp server), I was > checking the peer discussion groups in the Yahoo Groups. > > This is to assess the chance of this discussion group to be > successful.
