One of our programmers is rather prolific; to keep our system in control, we have copied the programs of his that we want into one folder, then use the /u switch to keep those programs updated. Programs that are not in the folder are not copied over. That programmer also makes almost all of his files read-only; xxcopy's default of clearing the read-only attribute is a great boon to us. melissa
