There may already a techspec.doc and a techspec1.doc (with SFN techsp~2.doc). I don't even care if the orginal techsp~1.doc gets renamed to techsp~2.doc, but I do care if it overwrites the other file or doesn't copy itself over. This is one of the great bugaboos of moving files in Explorer. On another note, is there any way to get XXCOPY to set the date on copied directories to the orginal directory?
