They have an electronic unit that allows selecting which of three hard drives is on at boot. Needless to say one or more of those hard drives could be a removable tray type of unit. In effect it really does allow infinte storage on a computer. But the co-ordination of the drives is going to fall back on programs like xxcopy and God knows what else. One reason that I set up this way is to have a Linux machine at hand by simply slipping in another tray. I'm a bit of an old dog and my memorey is not like a teenagers so downloading into a Windows file, shuffling drives and trying to remember to transfer a file to Linux can get really way far out. Just to further punish myself, I'm trying to learn FreeBSD. As xxcopy is growing the chances are that somebody is trying to port it to Linux. They'll have to be way deeper geek than me. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Auctions - buy the things you want at great prices http://auctions.yahoo.com/
