So, the only difference between the existing switch and the proposed 
switch is that the latter would not appear when an overwrite comes 
up. I must have misinterpreted David's message, because it sounded 
as if no prompt came up for new files, even with the /P switch. 
(Since most of my xxcopy activity is in batch files, I try to 
suppress all prompts, all the time.)
