(jason) ok i got it. I was trying to copy only windows as to miss the Hewlett Packark programs, which left me with no program files, so i figured i'd try cloneing the whole HD (from a Hewlett Packard win 98se 533mhz pent3 40gig to Armstrong Microsystems win95 166mhz? 2gig 1997) to my amazement it worked , it took about 5 to 10 min. "found new hardware" "installing" bla bla. I then removed what HP programs i could and what ever else i didnt need. keeped directcd and dvd programs for later. may run a regcleaner later . If I could only now figure ot how to put MS office etc.. from cd to floopys. ====================================================== --- In xxcopy@y..., "Dan Anderson" wrote: > I may be all wet here, but isn't there always a lot of problems when copying > an operating system from one hardware environment to another, which I think > is what Jason is doing here.
