I'm a non-programmer user who believes in the kiss principle and who has had
problems with DRVSPACE, DBLSPACE, BACKUP, and alternatives to ZIP. Please
do not use some unusual, vendor specific, compression scheme for your normal
versions of XXCOPY. By all means put advice in a TB on suitable compression
utilities and their contra - indications, or on putting e.g. HELP etc. on a
second diskette; but let's keep it simple.

If a single diskette is essential, recent W9 start up diskettes "create"
space by using a RAM drive and extracting from cab file versions, could a
user implement such a solution ?
