i cloned my hd cuz it was getting full onto a larger hd (from 1.2 to 
a 3gig). anyway so i formatted, fdisk'd it to use 100%, xxcopy, then 
fdisk /mbr. so i booted from it, and it seems to be running smoothly 
and then after a while it just stops trying to boot and all the 
lights on the hds don't flash anymore. i logged the boot process and 
apparently it stops at amdeide.mpd (trying to load). i guess it 
stops when i try to load the amd driver? i checked the file, and 
compared the 2 on the old hd and new hd and they are the same.

any ideas?

specs:

amd athlon 800
256mb ram
old hd setup:
- 1.2gig (boot)
- 8gig ->primary slave

2 cd roms on secondary

new hd setup:
- 3gig (boot)
- 8gig -> still slave
