Tom, the one supplement to Kan's comments, pending further developments, is that you may want to check out of the use of DOSFLNBK, in addition to using xxcopy, to resolve the issue of the SFNs (short file names) which is a critical element if you are backing up items such as operation systems of applications onto CDRs.
