I have found that when I used roxie cd direct that I may close a cd and later reopen it and add more files and have it become flakey. The issue seems to be the number of files.. It seems that the first two or three tracks are ok but when I go back a 4th time to add files I lose the added track Now, for 35cents (us) I create a new disk copy the old files and add the new ones and I am good to go. I am now trying nero, so far so good.... but I already have created an almost full CD-ROM.... Will know more when I go to CD-ROM 6 ( now on 5) Your xxcopy and the short file name data base program have been very helpful, thank you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dan Anderson To: Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2001 9:04 PM Subject: Re: [xxcopy] Lost files/CD backups/Caution > Melissa, could you be more specific regarding files being lost when a > writable CD is closed.
