Unfortunately the larger makers My personal opinion would be to ADD another switch that exactly what /CLONE does and change all documentation to use that new switch name instead of clone. As you say, people are now expecting a package that has a /clone option to do what Norton Ghost or Drive Image does: a full clone of a drive. That is not what xxcopy was designed to do! Kan - please think about this. Notice that I did not say to eliminate the /clone switch - too many people have batch files already written. But add a new switch that does exactly what /clone does and use that new name in all future tech bulletins and user guides. One person suggested /EZCOPY - sounds as good as any to me. /clone would remain in xxcopy as an alias for whatever new name you came up with. dwayne Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 18 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2002) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
