Chasm, suggestions from another novice: - 1) check the start sequence in the BIOS 2) check that your 20GB is jumpered master. 3) use a floppy to start up and use fdisk to check that the primary HD partition is still set active (setting it may need the LS120 to be unplugged) 4) try changing over the HD and the LS120 on the end and middle connectors of the IDE1 cable. 5) use fdisk /mbr (assuming that C has been recognised by the BIOS) Hope that includes something you have not already tried!
