Good day to all I am struggling with a backup batch file where I want to exclude temporary internet files. One problem is that I don't know where to put the double quotes that surround a file or directory spec that contains spaces embedded within the name. Should the double quote include the '\*\*' or not? I have tried various combinations of the following: /x"\Temporary Internet Files"\*\* /x"\Temporary Internet Files\*\*" /x"*\Temporary Internet Files"\*\* /x"*\Temporary Internet Files\*\*" An example of the full command follows: .\bin\dcopy32 %1 %2 /bu/x*.swp/x*.par/x"*\Temporary Internet Files\*\*" /onerror.log%3 I am using DCOPY32 version 2.40.0 I realize this is a very early copy of XXCOPY but it is what came with Datman and it allows me to backup all the machines on my network. I do not have enough paid licenses for XXCOPY-Pro for all the machines that I need to back up; DCOPY32 is licensed for all the machines I need to back up. Any guidance gratefully accepted. dwayne -- Dwayne Reid Trinity Electronics Systems Ltd Edmonton, AB, CANADA (780) 489-3199 voice (780) 487-6397 fax Celebrating 18 years of Engineering Innovation (1984 - 2002) .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .-. .- `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' `-' Do NOT send unsolicited commercial email to this email address.
