But the way xxcopy will mess up any programs, links that windows (95) uses. I have programs that are probable more than 20 years old that I do use. I have developed on DOS 1.1 and up, windows 2.1, up to windows 98. Writing old useful assembly and C programs. In not transfering the same short filenames, is not a consistent backup for these programs. There are way(s) to make them the same. If xxcopy does not duplicate the original shortened files then I and others I know will not be able to use XXcopy.
