Make a hard copy of the following page: http://www.xxcopy.com/clone In there, read the section: "How to create a DOS Box". and follow the instruction to do just that. I suppose you unzipped the freeware file into a temporary directory. I assume the temporary directory name is c:\my_temp (if not, adjust the following operations accordingly). Inside the DOS Box, run the following commands: C: The above line makes sure that the current drive is C: cd \my_temp The above line makes the c:\my_temp directory current. dir You should find the XXCOPY files you have unzipped. That is, you should find the following files listed: README.TXT INSTALL.BAT UIXXCOPY.BAT XXCOPY.EXE XXPBAR.EXE XXCOPY16.EXE PAD_FILE.XML Then, run the install.bat file by typing: install That is it. It will give you Y/N prompts and just follow what it says. It will install XXCOPY into c:\windows\command directory and sets up the system registry and everything for XXCOPY operations on your system from then on. Then, follow the instruction in the XXTB #10 article you just printed out.
