glsmas: I thought you already unzipped the download file. The action which takes place by double-click an icon of a file depends on the system settings. In most part, the correct application for the file (determined by the the file type --- which is denoted by the ending of the file name (so-called file extension) e.g., .DOC is usually assigned to MS Word). I was not aware that .ZIP file is mapped to a registry-related program. Anyway, what you need is a utility which unzips a .ZIP file. http://www.pkware.com They have a freeware, PKZIP and PKUNZIP (they are the originator of the ZIP format). Winzip is even more popular these days. http://www.winzip.com/ Download and install the zip/unzip utility.
