Yes, that sounds right. This directory does indeed contain many (probably thousands) of files that match in the first 6 characters. I'll try it with /NX0 and confirm this. So does it seem reasonable to divide my backup job into two pieces, first the whole HD less this directory, then this directory by itself with /NX0? Or maybe do all the directories with only data files (i.e. non-executable) with /NX0?
