Subject  :  "easy" xxcopy to CD-RW question

I just need to back up recently changed data files. I've used xcopy 
for years and just got a CD-RW and xcopy (and copy) both say "access 
denied."

So, can xxcopy back up recently changed/new data files to my CD-RW? 

[If this is answered somewhere on this list, I'm sorry. I read it a 
bit and it seemed the issues were with /clone [whatever that is] and 
some issues about long and short file names]
