Michael, You'll usually have to prepare the CDR disk with software that likely came with the drive in order to treat it like a standard Windows device for writing. DirectCD is one product (part of Roxio EZ Creator) and Nero has that function. You prepare the blank CD to accept files just as if it were a hard disk. Should work fine, then.
