Transferring the security info can be done by /SC (copy) or /SF (fixup). We have discovered some minor bugs in the current version with these switches. The current beta test version (available at http://www.xxcopy.com/betatest/) works better with /SC and /SF. Yes. You can use /CLONE /SC as a combination. (If you say /CLONE /SF, no files will be copied but the security info of existing files/directories will be tranferred). The beta test version also removed the 4GB/file barrier which existed in earlier XXCOPY (which was conforming to the FAT (Win9X) limit on the file size. Currently, there is no straightforward way to clone the entire system disk of NT/2K/XP using XXCOPY. The best way to handle such a case was proposed by rotaiv who is one of the most experienced network administrator in this group. His proposal is to install a second (minimum) installation of the WinNT/2K/XP system on a different system directory (preferably on a different volume) and boot up into the second set of the OS which allows the access of certain key system files (mostly in the \system32\config\ directory) by applications (such as XXCOPY).
