I have bought every version of PM since 3, and every version of Drive Image since 2, except for the latest. They are buggier than a swamp, but they (mostly) do the job. I have perhaps *once* actually gotten PQDI to write directly to CD properly. Nowadays, I don't even bother installing the Windows version-- I run off the emergency disks and save the inevitable reboot time. Instead of pulling my hair out about PQDI not writing to CD's properly (can you say "coasters"?), I simply back up to an image file in 700 MB chunks on a spare hard drive, then write each chunk out to CDR with Nero Burning ROM (flawless performance there fortunately, since their tech support is basically non- existent). BTW, if you ever get PQDI or PM complaining about a bad partition, and then find yourself unable to do *anything* with it, like *delete* it, all you need to do is run PTEDIT (on PM's Emergency Disk 1), and zero out all the values for the bad partition and it will wipe it out and you can then repartition the space once more.
