Hi, I was looking for a program to simply and reliably copy my "My Documents" directory to a single backup on my removable F:\ drive and update it on each backup, and stumbled upon XXCOPY today. After reading the documentation (well, some of it) and downloading 2.82.4, I created the following test which I believed would achieve what I needed: XXCOPY "C:\Documents and Settings\Kev\My Documents\Test\" F:\Test\ /CLONE /YY In the source "Test" directory, I created three directories with the following self-explanatory names -- "Contains 5 Files", "Contains One Empty Dir", and "Empty". When I ran the above XXCOPY command, it had only copied the "Contains 5 Files" directory. That didn't seem right. From the documentation I had the impression that /CLONE was supposed to copy empty directories. I tried adding the /ED switch after /CLONE but it had no effect. I also tried using the set of switches that /CLONE is a shortcut to. And various other things as well. Could anyone tell me what is wrong? I am running Windows XP Home SP1 and both partitions are NTFS.
