Just a thought... I removed the trailing slashes and /YY switches as part of the various things I tried. The /L switch spits out only the five files in the "Contains 5 Files" directory. A few minutes ago I downloaded a different version of XXCOPY from another site (filename was xxfw2903.zip). Repeated the test, and after it warned me that it was older than the system and not fully tested, it worked! Empty directories were copied. Just to be extra sure, I copied 2.82.4 back over, and it again failed to copy the empty dirs. Perhaps something is wrong with 2.82.4?
