angmed: Although this may be redundant to what I said earlier, let me explain what went on with your message (probably it was msg #2853 which I have deleted). >consequently can not understand the SPAM you referred >to in your helpful repply, kindly, explain if you have >the time. If you carefully examine your latest post (#2856), (even the one on the web version, as opposed to the one you receive via Email), you will notice that beyond the original text that you cited in your reply, near the bottom of the message, the following section appears --------------------------------------------- Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ADVERTISEMENT Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to the Yahoo! Terms of Service. [Non-text portions of ... have been removed] --------------------------------------------- This part of text was appended by *YOU* when you wrote the message as a reply using your Email client (e.g., Outlook Express, or any other). I always ask everyone to carefully remove any unnecessary portion of the cited text that are Yahoo's advertisement. But, what I pointed out in my last message (#2854) with regard to the SPAM was the fact your earlier message (#2853) was apparently created by you as a reply to the one earlier (#2852) which was posted by a spammer. What I pointed out was your innocent mistake that you created your message as a reply and included the entire text of the earlier spam post (which arrived at your subscribed Email --- please check in your mail box if you have not deleted your own copy of your post). The spam message had the title "new pictures uploaded.." Unfortunately, the spam text contained a hyperlink to http://drentiare.xxxxxxxxx.com/index.html (I have deliberately modified this URL, above) which was quite "active" and would generate quite a few pop up windows that includes a dialog window which may change your default starting (home) web page to be one of the silly web sites. In short, you inadvertently propagated the entire spam text which is one of the worst kind which I have been trying to eliminate (and I had to delete your entire message because it contained the nasty hyperlink). The trouble with spam messages (and the propagated ones) is that everyone who subscribes to this discussion group automatically receives the spam; besides, the archived message in this group's web page will also be contaminated. My plea to everyone in this group is to make sure the massage to be posted is free from unnecessary text which often includes the Yahoo-appended text near the bottom. What I propose to you (angmed) is to stop using the easy way of replying to the previous email, but rather you should start a new Email to the following address xxcopy @ yahoogroups.com, else read the entire text that you are about to send and make sure that the cited text only the relevant text and nothing more. And, when you see an obvious spam, regardless of how funny it may be, please do not even comment on it. They are simply noise. Also, this message board is not a "throw-away" chat between two individuals. Therefore, everyone should refrain from posting a short reply such as "Thankx for the answer". Just remember that we all receive more Emails than we really care for. Therefore, let's keep this discussion group as a "content-rich" mailing list so that subscribers do not waste their time.
