L.H.: Sorry, I got mixed up with someone else's observation about not succeeding with the disk /CLONE technique on ME. As to the /ON operation, please check the correct syntax for each command that I suggest. It is meant to be a pointer to a solution rather than a complete documentation. A quick help can be obtained like: xxcopy /help /on It will limit the otherwise-huge help text into a section that starts with the letter O. Here's the details that I omitted: ------------------------------------------------------- All of the file-creating functions: /ON, /OA, /FO expect that the filename to follow the switch. /ON: /OA: /FO: Where the colon after the first two letters is optional. The portion must be a valid filename to be created and need to be surrounded by a pair of quotation marks if it has an embedded space. If a relative path is specified, it denotes "relative to the current directory of the current drive" of the XXCOPY invocation. The path name for the file in these cases must be already present.
