Question:

My use is private home and NOT networked.
I am currently running Win98se and XXCOPY Vers 2.60.0.

1) What is the most current stable version of xxcopy for my situation, and
2) Is there any particular reason/feature(s) for which I should update.

Unrelated story:

Last Thanksgiving my main HD failed unexpectedly: 
The controller died and took down the IDE bus!
All my data (years worth) on the HD was unavailable.

However, I had resently made an xxcopy-based update to my backup HD.
I restarted my PC and changed CMOS to boot the backup HD.
It booted correctly - all work was intact.

CompUSA even had a sale on my type of HD.
I was out $129 but only one days work ! (not years).
