Hi, folks: New version was just posted. http://www.xxcopy.com/betatest/ (v.2.83.2) The minor discrepancies in timestamp related issues should be mostly gone. I haven't noticed anything with some extensive in-house testing with the timestamp management which turned out to be a lot more difficult than anticipated. The "quantum mechanics behavior" with regard to the LastAccess timestamp was pretty much resolved. With more testing with network environments, it seems that certain timestamps cannot be set on the remote machine. We will run more tests as to what can and what cannot be done with respect to timestamp management. But, now it seems that XXCOPY's timestamp-display function, /LH is working quite well under all testing conditions that we ran. xxcopy \dir_name\ /S/LH // displays the 3 timestamps xxcopy \dir_name\ /S/LH/LTREE // directory's timestamps The /LH switch is a new addition similar to /LDT except the H format gives you "history" display for the three timestamps Creation LastWrite LastAccess In the above order (usually that corresponds to the chronological order of the three in typical cases). Note the LastAccess value is stored with date info and it seems that the value is always "Midnight" of the day, and therefore, LastAccess timestamp is displayed only by the date portion in the H format. We have not addressed the /SP bug which were reported earlier (and we will start working on this one unless other more urgent bug is reported). Otherwise, there is no known bugs. It seems the recent series of beta test version seems to be holding up quite well so far. Again, whoever using this new series of beta test version, please report any problem as soon as you find it.
