Marek, you should first focus on just being able to copy a sample file onto your CD or DVD, ignoring XXCOPY. Once you have the CD or DVD configured properly using InCD or directCD, you should be able to use either a copy and paste process or a drag and drop process to copy any sample file from your hard drive onto the CD or DVD. Once you have succeeded in doing that then you should be able to specify the CD or DVD as your destination drive when running XXCOPY. Is their any guidance on how to configure this "packet write" situation? I have seen some hints that say you only need a formatted DVD and a process of the nero or directCD running. So far, XXCOPY has not been able to write to my disc. I probably missed a simple step, but I have not been able to locate any step-by-step instructions that help us novice DVD'rs get upto speed. I will tackle the Ahead software InCD help files again. > Thanks, > Marek > > Kan Yabumoto wrote: > XXCOPY is hardware-neutral.
