My experience is with Win98 (not WinXP) and conflicts with DirectCD 
and InCD. My best advice based on personal experience with CD-R/CD-
RW is pick a product for writing to CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD+RW or DVD-RW 
(no experience with the last two) and clear out everything that might 
conflict with it by following the software instructions. To get InCD 
to work in Win98 I had to quite literally do a registry search for 
all references to "DirectCD" and delete them! Why, because Easy CD 
Creator and DirectCD do a very bad job of uninstalling themselves. 
Marek I am *NOT* recommending you do this! It was very harrowing for 
me but thankfully successfull. For me the problems didn't stop 
there, I also had to rename the driver extensions for MusicMatch and 
Windows Media Player! Astute observers will notice that both 
programs have CD writing capabilities and therefore *DRIVERS* that 
have to be disabled by renaming or deleting.

There is another possible problem and that is the WinXP "In House" CD 
writing capabilities itself. According to what I've read it is best 
to disable those functions and have a 3rd party software Optical Disc 
writing program installed, (ECDC/DirectCD or Nero/InCD are the most 
popular). In other words I'm speaking about 2nd hand experience not 
1st hand about XP issues. Marek you do not mention Easy CD Creator so 
my advice is go with Nero for CD-R writing and InCD for "packet 
writing" and uninstall, delete and/or rename per software 
intstructions for the other products and there drivers. Also, Marek
