Hi John. I'm a rank amateur here. However, Kan posted earlier (perhaps before you joined us) encouraging everyone to include a trailing backslash after the final folder in order to avoid ambiguity. The /s may go anywhere in the switch list. xxcopy "D:\John's Documents\everything\" "F:\John's Documents\everything\" /s/y should accomplish your goal if only the \everything folder is the one you wish to transfer. Otherwise, xxcopy "D:\John's Documents"\ "F:\John's Documents\" /s/y to transfer everything in that folder and all subfolders, including the everything folder. You may wish to include the /bi switch for incremental backups. Or perhaps one of the explicit date or size switches.
