Virg, I tried this command line on my own computer: xxcopy /L \surdirs\*\rmsetup\ /e/rmdir/?>a.txt You will see that it will delete subdirectories, except empty ones (despite the text appearing beside /s). The subdirectories, since they are not empty, have files to be deleted. M.
