You can easily use xxcopy to delete files that other utilities refuse to delete. Create an empty directory named Wow then cd into Wow. Now type in xxcopy c:\wow /clone c:\temp .. You have just cloned the empty directory. Take a look at the temp directory. It will be empty. Apparently Microsoft has an instruction set that limits the use of del commands even if they are written by a third party. But xxcopy is able to sidestep that effort. I will warn you that Win XP is a bit on the sensitive side about forced deletions. Even if you do not delete system files or other obviously critical files your XP machine may act up a bit when you delete huge numbers of files. I have found that a reboot and defrag tends to make XP happy again.
