The XXCOPY TECHNICAL BULLETIN #16 dated 2000-09-14 does not actually have the syntax for the flattening delimiter listed: /S Sets the directory delimiter character for /SL, /SX and /SR, where is any legal non-alphabetic, non-blank character. The default delimiter is back-apostrophe (`). It talks about it, but I had to go back to the XXCOPY /HELP tome to dig up the switch. It would help to add it to this bulletin at some point. Also important to note is that the left apostrophe (`) is appearing as a left angle bracket (<) which is decidedly not legal, on this page. It could be my browser, but I'm not sure. Also, why restrict the delimeter to a single character? Maybe multiples would be safer, say /S!!! ? The exhaustive list of punctuation doesn't list ";" which should fit, though I have not tried it.
