The lines of the exclude file should not include "/X" or the signs. (The fact that the entry is in the exclude file is enough hint that it's an exclude spec, so the /X isn't needed. The in the docn were there to indicate that you replace what's between them with something of your own, and should not be in the command [or exclude file].) I think you just want c:\*\*.SWP c:\*\*.TMP c:\*\NPROTECT.LOG and so on. Good luck...
