That is basically a sound thought. I subscribe to
comp.os.msdos.djgpp, which is really a mailing list but is echoed
to and from the newsgroups. I could receive it as a maillist or
with daily summaries if I preferred. dj@d... might be able
to tell you about the mechanism. I know that is running on a
linux box. Again, I am speaking from ignorance.
