Are you running from a command prompt inside Windows, or in plain DOS? If the latter, you might try with XXCOPY16 instead of XXCOPY. Once you get the "invalid command.com" message things are very messed up, and advising anything besides "reboot the computer" could cause more trouble than it's worth. Good luck...
