i was able to get around the earlier problems i had now is there any way i 
can not copy one sub-dir that is inside a dir that has 104 sub-dir. i really 
dont want to copy each sub-dir at a time just to not copy one dir. im doing 
this from dos but xxcopy says it wont run in ms dos mode so i am using 
xxcopy16 and xcopy which allowed me to transfer most of the files.
