If I may provide a generalized statement on file-copy failures using XXCOPY, the most common problem is by far, the share-violation --- this is not really a failure. It is an expected and quite natural phenomena and nothing alarming by itself. I still believe when hundreds of files routinely fail to be copied by XXCOPY, it is very likely that something like AntiVirus is interfering the file access. > PS Is there a way to stop these messages from > shattering (inappropriate line breaks)? The cause of unsightly line-break is due to the original line with a hard line-break which is chopped into two. To avoid this, it is best everyone keep the maximum line length to be 60-64 characters long. Kan Yabumoto
