It appears when I copy subdirectories from a server, the permissions for the subdirectory itself are not retained. Consider the following example: xxcopy \\server\share\data\ c:\data\ /clone/sc All the files in the "data" have the corresponding permissions but the directory itself does not. Is there something else I should be doing? Is there a way to copy a directory tree and have the subdirectories permissions copied as well? What I am trying to do is take a list of path names (with multiple levels of directory names) and copy the files AND permissions for the whole tree. In this example: xxcopy \\server\share\sub1\sub2\sub3 c:\sub1\sub2\sub3\ /clone/sc I would like the permissions for all three subdirectories to be the same as on the server. BTW, this has to be done today so any help would be appreciated ;) rotaiv
