If you are only doing this once, /BU (BackUp) is probably better, it includes all the switches of /CLONE without the deletion of extra files on the destination. If you want to backup on a regular basis then /CLONE is probably better. A couple of minor points: 1. Add a \ on the end of the source path to indicate that the source is a directory (not essential if you KNOW that it already exists). 2. If you use /CLONE, add /PZ0 to suppress the prompt for creation of the destination directory. 3. Depending on the file system, it's may be necessary to add /NX0 to ignore short filename preservation on CR-RW drives. 4. If you're using /CLONE, it's usually a good idea to add /FF to use fuzzy timestamp comparison (+/- 2 seconds) on CR-RW drives. 5. You may wish to exclude temporary files from being copied.
