XXCOPY can be a powerful deletion tool. You can use it this way; Create an empty directory called Fudge. Then use xxcopy c:\fudge /clone c:\groundzero. Your groundzero directory will now be empty. Then simply RD c:\fudge. One thing that you might wish to keep in mind if you are running Windows XP is that XP may not be happy if you get carried away with this tactic. I have found that if I delete three or four gigabytes of files that a real clean up and defrag is sort of vital or XP will tend to act slow and become unstable.
