Thanks for any feedback. xxcopy just copies files - it does not alter boot blocks or format floppy disks. To format a disk, you need to use "format" from the DOS prompt or "Explorer". To create a Windows 98 diskette from Windows 2000, you will to do one of the following: 1. Take an existing Windows 98 formatted diskette and copy it to another diskette then modify as needed. 2. The easiest way is to find a Windos 98 diskette image then use one of the many tools available to write that image to a new diskette (rawrite is a DOS based app and WinImage is a GUI app). This method allows you to create a boot disk for operating systems other than the one you are currently using. A good place to start is http://www.bootdisk.com Regards, rotaiv
