Look for DOSLFNBK by D.J. Murdoch. It is a $10 shareware offering, which will create a file holding all the long filenames that correspond to short file names. After you transfer the files under DOS with the short names, including the record of the long names, doslfnbk can reinsert the long names. I don't know if it will work for NTFS file systems, so you may have to use FAT32 partitions to do it. -- Chuck F (cbfalconer@y...) (cbfalconer@w...)
