There is an external USB2 drive holder with pull out drive trays that seems like the best way to go. I believe it is called EX Shuttle or X Shuttle. Kan also has a hand built rig for this same type of thing. The joy of it is that you can actually hot swap hard drives and it is in effect infinite storage. I also like the idea of these drives as you don't have to waste power and generate heat because you only use them as needed rather than have them idling along inside a pC case. And another factor is that drives can be kept in a safe or stored at remote locations to protect against fire or theft. The Ex Shuttle unit was not real expensive. If my memory is right it was about $150 with four pull out trays. As you can buy a 120 gigabyte drive for under $100 now that means that you can have 480 gigabytes of storage for a total cost of $550 or a full terabyte for $950. But when you need to defrag it may take a while!!! --- daverunda wrote: > Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations > for USB hard > drives?
