Seek advice on the following: I have an internal CD burner and an external CD-Rom drive. Here is an excample of a problem that I encounter: I have a CDRW with 40 files (this is the "original" disk. Using "/bi" I back-up these 40 files onto another CD-RW (this is the "backup" disk). A few days later, the orignal disk has 45 files: 40 initial/unchanged, and 5 new. I back up the original disk to the backup disk using /bi and /ff, but xxcopy wants to overwrite the first 40, although they haven't been changed. I say OK. A few days later, the original disk has 53 files: 8 new files and 45 unchanged. I repeat the back up operation onto the backup CDRW using /bi /ff switches, and again, xxcopy want to overwrite the 45 files already stored on the back up but which I have not altered since they were backed up. Please advise: what do I need to do to ensure that xxcopy does not touch/replace files that I have not changed ? Thank you.
