Subject  :  XXCOPY halts; DOS Window Closes

Lately, xxcopy simply stops in the middle of every job, presents an 
error message so fast it cannot be read, and exits DOS. I am running 
in on Windows 2000 and have not previously had this problem. I am 
running 2.82.8d. Help appreciated.
