Is there a log file somewhere? Open a DOS Prompt window first (Start->Run->Command or DOS Prompt shortcut). If you are just double clicking on xxcopy.exe, it won't be doing anything. Xxcopy is intended mainly for use on the Command line or from a batch file. If you are using Start->Run->xxcopy , you can add either or both of the following: /we //this will wait for a key press when xxcopy finishes /on:xxcopy.log //this will create a log to xxcopy.log You can customise what is reported in the log using /o See xxcopy /o/help for details. When you have finished with the DOS window, type exit to close it. Garry
