(This is an off topic problem; but my backup was created with XXCOPY.) List: I find myself in the position with a Laptop Computer with a hard drive that failed and is under extended warranty. Yes, I have a full backup of the computer from the night before the drive failed. I just received the laptop back from service. They replaced the hard drive. I sent the WIN98SE Recovery Disk with the computer together with the unlocking keys. I expected that the computer would come back with a) nothing on the hard drive or b) The hard drive contain the System from the Recovery CD_ROM. I was suprized to say the least when I found Windows 2000 PRO on the hard drive without a companion cd rom or WIN2000 directory. I have recovered desk top drive failures in the past by physically swapping drives and master/slave switches and do a restore from my backup to the new drive then swapping things back & immediately finding myself with a completely live system again. Obviously, as there is only room for one drive on the laptop, I am going to have to remove it from the laptop and connect it to REPLACE a idle existing drive on my desk top. Does one know of an adapting cable for a Fujitsu Model MHH2064AT, Part No. CAO5311-B040 that I can purchase to make it replace a drive in my desktop. Where does the power go in on these little things? Suggestions are most gracioously welcomed. D G Connett (Southern California) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
