c:\> xxcopy c:\ g:\ /clone

where C is the drive on your desktop unit, and G is the drive name on your 
laptop. Best way to connect the two? Good question. My guess is USB comes in 
to play somehow, unless they can both be connected to a network and their 
respective drives can be referred to by letter.
