If xxclone has a similar capability I presume it will just stall with an incorrect source message on a repeat run from a changed C drive. This may be too late for Harold but should be preferable to continuing in blissful ignorance. If xxclone's first run was C:\ to D:\ with subsequent runs using the original (and stored) volser to volser it might be easier for a novice encountering this problem for the first time. Such a procedure may introduce complications when restoring by re-booting from the clone. Sorting out and understanding the effects and ramifications of this "flyer" is beyond me but I hope it triggers a productive line of thought. Regards, Bob
